Ella and family!

20 Jul

Little Ella was pretty popular when I shared her sneak peak, so I couldn’t keep you all waiting too long for the full post!

This session was so much fun! One of the neatest things about photoing little kids is that I really never know what to expect from kids of various ages. It’s been a long time since I was around little kids regularly. So before every kiddo session I say to Zac, “She’s this old…does she sit up? stand up? walk? talk?” Zac finds my ignorance amusing but is always right on in giving me a heads up on what to expect.

When I asked about Ella, Zac said “Oh yeah, she’ll be able to walk. She’ll probably toddle around pretty well.”

Ha. Toddle? Pretty well? Sister friend runs. Quickly!

We did find one spot that slowed her down though. It was paved with those snazzy stone paver things that are slightly uneven and spaced apart. This induced very careful tip toeing:

That’s my favorite by the way : ) This is my other favorite…

After some intense circle running in open grass, we launched Mission Still Ella. We busted out every thing our Barney Bag held. The stillness was brief but it was long enough to snag some keepers!

Ella is just the sweetest baby, so even tempered! The balloons we had tied to her wrist slipped off and floated away. I expected a melt down, but she just gazed around, wondering where they went : )

She also gives awesome hugs, as seen here:

How cute is this family?!

Ella is also crazy smart, as shown above. She watched her mom and dad blow on the pin wheel for a few seconds then held it out and blew on it her self. I’m convinced she’s a genius. Watching babies learn  is probably the coolest thing in the world!

Side note – that pin wheel…hands down the best $1.99 I’ve ever invested.

We won’t talk about how much I invested in this next prop but heaven’s knows she’s been worth every penny…

A baby with a belly laugh…are you kidding me?

I swear to you, Ella’s attitude changed when they put this outfit on her. She knew she was a rock star!!

The shoes kill me in that photos. I could stare at if forever. But there are more faces to be photographed…

Big thanks to Ella and family for making the trip to Edwardsville!!
