Photo Sessions Available

28 May

As most of you know, I harbor a big dream of turning photography into a career.

So I have to start somewhere. Well, really, I suppose I started a while ago. But I’m getting more serious about the whole thing and spend a great deal of time reading books and studying online resources to learn all there is learn about cameras, natural light photography and the post processing that really gives photos that awesome edge. But I can read and read all day long but it isn’t the same as really getting out, having a photo session and going through the work flow.

So, here’s my appeal. If you need senior, family, baby, child or engagement photos and you are interested in hiring someone who’s just starting out and trying to learn the ropes, then I’m your gal.

Let’s be clear that I do not consider myself a professional photographer nor am I trying to give the illusion that I am such. Likewise, I’m not a chump with the same point and shoot camera as your Uncle Ted. I’ve been working on this endeavor for three years now and I have a solid understanding of what I’m doing and how to do it correctly. Basically, I am what I am and I know what I know. And I know I can give you lovely, natural photos of you or your family members that will capture them as who they are – not as who they are when they sport a stiff shirt and sit in front of a photo backdrop with studio lights glaring at them – but who they really area. Their personality, their attitude.

And I can give you that for a great deal, with a low session fee and low print prices. Keeping the session price low means how much you ultimately spend depends on how much you love the photos and subsequently how many prints you order.

So I’m going to share the pricing info here and post just a few of my favorite senior photos.  If you’re interested, you know where to find me.

And – just to clear any confusion – I’m still shooting in Streator, at least one weekend a month! Now through September. So if you’re going to want family photos for your annual Christmas card, snag a date in September!

Online viewing and ordering: Once your photos are finished you will receive a link to an online gallery which you can share with friends and family. Here you can view all of your photos and place your print order. The photos will be printed by a professional lab and delivered directly to you. I’ve chosen to go this route because the professional lab offers higher quality and consistency and photos appear just as lovely in print as they do on the computer screen.

Print prices: 4×6 – $1.25     5×7 – $2.50     8×10 – $4.25     Additional sizes available including wallets, specialty size prints, etc. Canvas prints, cards and other merchandise is also available.

High-Res Photo Disks: Disks containing all of your finished high-res photos are available for $100. I recognize that some folks would prefer to have a disk including all of their high-res photos so they may print at any time, where ever they choose. Do realize if you choose this option and  print your photos at an in-store  lab (one-hour service, etc.) you will recieve fine prints but skin tones and other colors may appear a bit off (they may also look completely fine!).

Shoot me and email or leave me a comment if you’re interested in a session!

Much thanks to all of the awesome people who have already booked sessions for the summer. Your support is very encouraging!
